Course Objectives

Pedagogy & Teaching Methodology

The programme adopts an integrated, activity-based, and learner-centered teaching approach. Student-teachers are trained to use maps, charts, models, timelines, case studies, discussions, and multimedia presentations to make social science concepts clear and engaging. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning, project-based instruction, inquiry methods, and real-life applications of social concepts.

Trainees learn to design effective lesson plans, facilitate discussions, encourage participation, and apply continuous evaluation techniques. The course also introduces the use of digital resources and educational technology to enhance understanding and classroom interaction. Through micro-teaching sessions, demonstration lessons, and supervised teaching practice in schools, students gain practical experience and develop confidence in teaching interdisciplinary subjects.
